- Prepare 1⁄2 cup rice flour
- Use 1 1⁄2 cup water
- Prepare 1 green chilli chopped
- Take 1⁄4 tsp baking soda
- Prepare 2 tsp peanut oil
- Prepare 1⁄2 tsp cumin seeds
- Provide 4-5 curry leaves
- Prepare 1 pinch Hing/asafoetida
- Take to taste Salt
- Use As needed Achar(pickle) masala for garnish
Instructions to make Khichu:
- Boil water in a non stick pan. Add salt, chopped green chilli, whole zeera, hing, curry leaves and baking soda.
- When the water comes to a boil add the rice flour and mix well till there are no lumps.
- Cover and simmer for 2 to 4 minutes. Mix well. Serve hot by pouring peanut oil over it and a sprinkle of achar masala.
